CAST is involved in a number of European Projects.
Knowth, Ireland
Knowth is located within the Brú na Bóinne World Heritage Site. In 2011 CAST researchers collaborated with Dr. Steve Davis (UCD) and the Meath OPW to record some of the extensive collection of rock art found in and around the Neolithic passage tomb. Terrestrial laserscanning was used to document the East Passage of the tomb, including the tripartite chamber at its end. Photogrammetry was used to record all the kerbstones surrounding the central mound, many of which are highly decorated.
Samples of the data collected during this project are available. The full dataset will be made available in the near future.
